IRS head condones illegal’s use of fraudulent social security cards since they use them to pay taxes

As a wise author in the bible once stated over 2000 years ago, the love of money is the root of many evils.  And when you fast forward this to the 21st century, the parallel concept of means justifying the ends is an apt description of how both men and governments will condone illegal activity if it results in the accumulation of more money.

On April 12, the head of the Internal Revenue Service spoke before Congress on the topics of taxes and the allowance of illegal aliens using social security cards.   And in a stark moment of truth, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen told the Senate that the agency condones the use of fraudulent social security cards by illegal aliens because the benefit is that they pay taxes, which in turn benefits the government.

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen made the statement in response to a question from Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., during a session of the Senate Finance Committee about why the IRS appears to be collaborating with taxpayers who file tax returns using fraudulent information. Coats said that his staff had discovered the practice after looking into agency procedures.

“What we learned is that … the IRS continues to process tax returns with false W-2 information and issue refunds as if they were routine tax returns, and say that’s not really our job,” Coats said. “We also learned the IRS ignores notifications from the Social Security Administration that a name does not match a Social Security number, and you use your own system to determine whether a number is valid.”

Asked to explain those practices, Koskinen replied, “What happens in these situations is someone is using a Social Security number to get a job, but they’re filing their tax return with their [taxpayer identification number].” What that means, he said, is that “they are undocumented aliens … . They’re paying taxes. It’s in everybody’s interest to have them pay the taxes they owe.” – Washington Examiner

Under both the Bush and Obama administrations, there has been little desire or effort to lawfully deal with illegal aliens and undocumented workers residing in the United States, both under expired H1B visas or those who illegally crossed the border into the country.  And rather than focus on the fact that these illegals cost each of the states upwards of $25 billion per year (California), IRS head Koskinen attempts to justify their criminal activity by suggesting that money sent to his agency by illegals justifies the losses incurred by others.

John Koskinen’s agency, and the underlying agenda of Barack Obama in regards to the problem of illegal aliens, are both dedicated towards the desires of corporations and businesses who rely upon cheap labor to profit off these workers.  And as long as these politicians remain in the pockets of the bankers and CEO’s, then the rule of law, and pursuit of criminal activity that benefits this oligarchy, will not only be ignored by law enforcement, but it will be condoned.
